New single "Look Alive"

Hey friends, we just released a new song called "Look Alive".

This is the second and last song of the recording session we did in August 2025 at Théâtre Outremont with Akira. It's an 80s style hardcore song, inspired by Husker Dü and the Wipers. The working title for this one was just "wipers" and we tried to honor their style as best we could without ripping them off.

We tracked both of those songs live, and guitar overdubs were done after this session at our rehearsal space, and the vocals too. Akira recorded and mixed it, and Jordan Barillaro mastered it. My (Jonathan) boss at work let us record at the theater and that was just an incredible opportunity and we do thank them so much for letting us do this.

We also recorded a live session with the "la sesh" gang, for which the first part of it, our performance of "Irish Exit", was released back in November 2025. The performance of  "Look Alive" will come out in the next couple of weeks, and the full live session will come out afterwards.

Our next show is going to be announced soon ; we're playing at La Sotterenea on March 21st. Until then, we're writing new songs and will try to add one new song at every next show, and Akira, who recorded and mixed those two singles, is joining the band on electric guitar.

That's all for today, thanks for reading!

New single "Irish Exit" out now + update on the blog

Hey friends, sorry for not posting for almost an entire year, this blog thing kind of slipped out of our mind but we're back with a new approach to the blog.

So the first news we share is old news from last november, during which we released our first new music in 2 years. "Irish Exit" is the first half of a single project we did with Sato Akira recording and mixing two new songs for us at Théâtre Outremont. These singles are more of a bridge between our inactive period and this coming year during which we're going to record our debut LP. These two songs did not arrive in time for the previous EP and arrived too late to be included in our LP because our sound is shifting away from this, hence why we release these two songs in between.

To continue on the first half of this post, we'll use this blog more as a website from now on. We'll announce shows, releases, tours and whatnot, but we'll focus more on this being a place outside social media to get more personalised updates on the band. We'll post tour photos, recording behind-the-scenes, but we won't continue the route of writing constantly about every show we do. I got the idea from Mike Watt at first with his hoot page and i realised that first, you gotta post constantly and about every show, and second, it becomes a very crowded thing that's more useful for archival purposes that informing people of what's happening with the band. So, with that said, i might ressurect the blog section someday, but will dedicate a tab to the blog instead of it being the main focus of this site, so that when you get here, everything is more organised and you're not presented with the blog as the main focus.

So that's it for now, i'm gonna post another message in two days already because we're releasing our second single, "Look Alive", on Friday the 6th. We're playing a release show for this single on Friday at p'tit ours in montreal.

Ontario weekend run in May

Finally able to share this, we're super thankful for both the promoters in Ontario for helping us out last minute like this but we're coming to Ontario for 2 (and maybe another) shows in the end of May.

Starting out in Montreal the week before at Turbo Haus with our good friends in Antenna93 and the Ottawa band Tucana.

On May 29th, we're set to play at the Union in Kitchener with Uncaught (in promise) from Toronto and My Angel from KW. Thanks to Public Seating DIY for putting on this show

On May 30th we might be playing a show in Hamilton but that's absolutely floating rn.

On May 31st we'll be playing at the st. stephen-in-the-fields church in Toronto. Potentially in the church hall, potentially in the community hall, but hopefully inside the actual church. We'll be playing second after openers Kiyam, and before Oil Giant and Treehouse of Horror. All these bands are incredible and huge thanks to New Friends DIY for putting this on.
